Here is a thread that I started a while back about the slow rear windows.

It suggests using a silicone based lubricant to spray down the side of the of the tracks for the window. I did it and it helped the problem.

Give that a shot.

Not to hijack your thread but does anyone else have problems with using the key to roll the back window up and down. Mine doesnt want to work without 10 minutes of coersion!

mine sticks a little, but then so do all the other locks, i just use WD40. sometimes the window doesnt respond, but after 2 or 3 tries it struggles to roll itself up and down... it wont stay on its own anymore though, i have to hold the key turned all the way.

The tumblers of the lock cores on our Runners are made from "pot-metal". After years of use, they get trashed. I just received a new set of tumblers from TOR on the board here. He works for Toyota of Richardson (TX). My side door locks and rear tailgate lock quit working some time ago. I was having trouble with the ignition too, so I had to bite the bullet. One of my weekend projects...
