which T-case fluid to use on 5spd swap?
Questions for you guys who know this thing! My 94 Runner used to have the 340H Auto trans but it now has the 5spd swap done to it so do I now use 75W-90 GL-4 gear oil or ATF?
Thanks.
Thanks.

If it is a gear or chain drive case, use gear oil:

Any recommendation on manual tranny fluid that is good from 0-110 degrees? This is an issue in Denver as we have extreme temp swings, and my tranny is not happy in the cold. I want to get a fluid in there that is still comfortable in the cold.

I've just replaced my fluid with Redline MT-90 and my transfer case fluid with their 75w-90 designed for the application. I am pretty happy with it so far...go to the redline website and read up about the different formulas.

Denver - just use 75w90. I put 80w90 in when I did my clutch over the summer, and it gets kinda stiff in the cold till the tranny is warm, but it's workable. 75w would be a lot better.
