41 teeth on the ring gear= 456s?

How many teeth are on a 4:56 ring gear? I have a set of RICHMOND ring/pinions for the toyota but I cant find the ratio number on them. the RING gear has 41 teeth. What is the sets ratio?

Divide the number of teeth on your ring gear by the number of teeth on your pinion and you will get the ratio.

41 teeth on the ring and 10 on the pinion. Thats 4.1 So does that mean I the gears I have are 4:10s?

yes 4.10s just make sure you start and end at the exact spot, dont skip any teeth.

I put my finger on one of the teeth. I start counting the toth AFTER the one I have my finger on. That I count all the way around and include the one I have my finger on. If that makes sence.

What does a set of richmond 4:10s go for? They were used about a week!

almost nothing since 4.10 is the MOST common stock gearset and you can buy whole 4.10 diffs for 100-150 no sweat. If it was 4.88 or 5.29 it would be a different story.

Factory 4.56 gears will be 41 ring teeth, 9 pinion teeth. 41/9=4.5555555 (4.56)
