Oild temp gauge Fuel Gauge Issue

Hi everyone,

I just picked up my first toyota and I'm having a couple issues.

I've searched with out much luck.

The vehicle is a 1988 toyota pick up SR5 ext. cab

The fuel gauge and Oil temp gauges are both giving not reading, as if the vehicle is turned off. I'm not sure where to start. Are there localized fuses to the gauges?

Thanks
Tyler

Ok,

When I leave the key in the position before I engage the starter while the motor isn't running, the needle on the oil press. gauge goes up to ~3/4 of the way to the top. When I start the motor the needle slowly drops back down to the bottom.

Any one got any tests for this?

As far as the fuel gauge goes, I'm starting to think I have to drop the tank to check the sending unit.

Anyone have some tests for the sending unit/gauge circuit?

Thanks

Oil Pressure sender is near the oil filter assuming 22RE 4cly engine

Fuel Tank SENDER is in the tank and yes you ahve to drop the tank

Remove/lift the bed...
