Just curious to know if 4 cylinder Auto Tranny tcases are gear or chain drive?

If your going to big dog swap you might think about NP 205 gear drive.

 

FYI, the 340H transfer case is a chain drive.

 

A340H < Transmission Code

1988-1995 < Model Years

Chain < Type of Drive

Electronically Controlled < Shifter

2.66 < First Gear Ratio

NOTE:

Hydraulic transfer case, transmission and transfer case cannot be separated.

Yes, there's a chain at the back, but the clutch pic posted above drives it.
