water pump leaking again

i just replaced the water pump the gasket , the thermostat , and its leaking from the same area again! 1 day later, i dont think i have a crack in my block or do i?

Where is the leak coming from? How did you install the gasket, ie did you clean up the area first, use an RTV etc?
