Replacing rear window motor

My rear window motor is dead and I thought I remembered a thread about using side window motors from other Toyota vehicles that would bolt in. But when I searched I could find very little info on this. Does anybody know if this is true and the make and motel I should be looking for?

sorry, could have sworn there was info about what motors would work in there. when i had issues with mine i went through ~ 1 million threads in here and do remember reading that a rear door window motor will work but I think it had to be a specific side (ie passenger/driver) - something about the orientation of the motor being correct?

Both/Either drivers side window motor will work for the 4Runner rear gate. (Or only the left front if you have a 2door heh)

Pass side will not work, as they are clocked 180' off.
