Question why is my truck hard to start when in cold weather?

i got a 93 pickup with 22re motor and every morning i'm having a hard time startng the car but when in the afternoon when the weather is a little bit hot, it starts right up. so far i changed the distributor cap, rotor, plug wires, plugs, and oil. does anybody know what else should i check for because its really annoying in the morning when i have to crank it like 7-8 times in order for it to start. thanks in advance...

Start with the cold start injector timing switch. If it's corroded, try cleaning it up first with some fine sandpaper. If that doesn't help you can bypass it easily. But, try cleaning it first.

Mine is the same way, A little shot of starting fluid in the air filter box and it will crank right up.. Been cranking mine on cold mornings like that for 2 years.

There are two switches sticking out of the front of the motor more towards the passenger side. If you look down just below your top rad hose you'll see them.....one's green and the other's brown. The brown one on the left is the switch you want to look at. BUT, while you down there, pull the other one out and give it a good cleaning, also....if it has build up on it. That's your coolant temp sensor.

I just went out and looked at mine , right under the green plug there are 2 vacume lines right there ,1 on top of the other, well both of mine were not connected. Any idea what they do? It ran fine like it was but i guess they are there for a reason

I believe it's for the timing switch, but I'm not sure. I forget what it's called, too. Time to look in the FSM....
