What manufactures produce the best Long Travel Suspension lift? I am looking for about a 4" lift from my 1990 4Runner. Any one got some pics and suggestions?


I am also needed a repair diagram to fix my sunroof.

on the rear im running HDJ80 landcruiser springs and +4 pro comp ES 3000 shocks, no sway bars.

I think he means front end (where there is little to no travel) haha.

 

front end... that sucks

rear is plus 3 inches and front is plus 2 inches.

getting long travel out of the front IFS is going to be a solid axle swap.

 

LT is $$$ if yer just looking for "lift" there are cheaper ways to do it.

Also - I would NOT be surprised if a SAS is CHEAPER than IFS LT.

That being said - Im planning a IF SLT for my 89 (gen1) 4Runner.

You'll need
-- LT kit
-- T100 axles
-- fiberglass fenders
-- BFH to do the body seam mod to fit 33"s

Out back - Im not as familiar with the LT options as I have leafs out back.

Alot of prerunners tend to convert to leafs out back.

Biggest issue is runing LT shocks in the back w/o cutting holes in the back or a 4Runner.
Cantelever and Mezzanine are the two types of rear suspension that I've seen that can let you keep the rear cabin and run true LT (13"+).

There are a few LT front setups
-- Downey 2" wider (not a fan myself, but its out there)
-- Total Chaos 3.5" wider (biggie seller)
-- former ATS - now out of a Toyota shop - Inland Toyota?
-- custom

Dunno off the cuff who else has a bolt up for the 85-95 erar IFS.

The rear is an issue becuase the OEM control links length is very short for LT. So the issue is runing new longer links... basically turns the deal into a custom job. Gas tank gets in the way too...

Mind you LT is for "dez running" not rock crawling...

To do it right requires $$$ in shocks. Ya figure a 2.5" coil per side, a triple bypass per side and a jounce shock per side... thats like $4500 in SHOCKS alone not counting the kit (off the cuff prices)

 

we sure dont do as much extreme fabrication as you guys. off the top of my head i can only think of one person who has done the SAS

You can run 33x10.50s stock. I would upgrade your rear coils, bj spacers, remove swaybar front and rear, and new shocks. That's a good nice clean lift to keep you going and wheel some 33s successfully. I have seen people run everything from 31x10.50s to 35x10.50s with this setup. You can always add fiberglass fenders to the front for extra clearence.

Tell us what sized tires you want to run and what type of off road terrain that you plan on running.
If this is just for looks, then that's a different story.
