Where do you get your metal?

Local place (in Brewer, Maine) called Lane's Supply. Not sure on how competitive they are, but they are close by and have most things I have needed. They cut to any length and charge something like 50 cents/cut.

I would think ordering it online would be very expensive. Just think about the shipping. If it's not weight it's oversize pieces.
Just look in the phone book. Or call your local 4x4 fab shop and ask where they get their materials.

Have a couple "local" places that give me great prices now, if you buy enough [do a lot of projects] they start giving you a disscount. If its a one time thing, Yellow pages and start phoning around. Or get tight with a guy that does a lot of that type of work, can maybe get your order filled at the same time they order.
Good luck.

Depends what your looking for in brass. The local metal scrap yard gets some in, but its hit or miss to find what you want. I've had a little luck at a second hand military supply place, same story on the hit or miss. Otherwise its e-bay or Y-pages. Good luck
