*** 2003 Pacific Northwest Yota Jam - Event Registration ***

2003 Pacific Northwest Yota Jam (or PNWYJ for short)

Dates: August 1st - 3rd

Meeting place: To be determined

This event has been in the planning stages for a while now, formerly known as the "NW WA. state Summer Jam 2003". This is a joint effort between YotaTech and WATTORA, and will be held in the Naches area of Washington State (SR410, Chinook Pass). We will be running the Naches trail as our main event, as well as many other runs to be determined depending on what the group is capable of and interested in. There's something for everyone out there, from mild to hard core.

There will also be a Trail 101 class so you can get some refreshers on trail technique, safety and etiquette.

To register yourself for this event please follow this link:

Event Details

We're expecting this to be a fairly large event, and are currently working on securing sponsors for raffle or competition prizes, details of which will be announced as the event nears. It's going to be a great time for all, whether you just want to meet some great people and relax at camp or get out there and run the hardest trails.

Please make sure to register if you plan on coming to the event! It helps us plan accordingly for the size of the group.

Red face 4Runner

I love my pretty perrywinkle SUV, therefore, I do not wheel it. I believe it the Toyota God wanted it to have pinstripes, it would have come from the factory that way.

I love my Impulse Red pickup just as much and I have been known to wheel it a time or two...

Are you saying that if you wheel your truck you don't love it? That will be a tough sell to some on this board...

. Hey Jeff. Long time no hear.

Yea. I probably wouldn't push the whole 4Runner on the trail thing.
Could you imagine if she banged that thing up on the trail. She would make Donna (remember Tahuya) sound like an angel on the CB.

Just playing with ya Donna. Miss ya!

Grape Ape;

If you're looking to host a Trail 101 class BEFORE the August Jam, I'd be there in a flash.

As a pure-as-can-be newbie, I'd love to get some instruction under my belt before showing up at the official 101 in August.

Hey Jeff,
Yes I will be at the 101 class. I have a couple of coworkers who want to attend.
Hope thats ok with you Rob.
I agree we need to go wheelin together. We all seem to miss each other on various wheelin trips.

Mark I know some things about wheelin but not all.Not enought about wheelin to teach a 101 class. Oh, I do know one thing and that is (slow and steady wins the race). And Rob there's always a smart ass in the group.

Mike,Rob and Gene were and when do you want to go?

Okay GA, you're off the hook! I'll wait on The Master or Trail 101.

Can someone give some tips on lodging down there? I'm not a camper - I'll admit to being a wuss and enjoying the concept of running water.

I hear that there were some cabins close by that folks used last year? I'd like to get my digs into them early.

The plan at this point is to overnight on the East side of Naches Pass, so the pickings for "civilized" accomodations are going to be pretty slim.

The closest landmark of any kind is Whistlin' Jack's corner store and no tell motel. But, book early, it's not very big.

I have to admit to being puzzled by the inclusion of "Wedding Supplies" in the directory listing 'though...

We should have running water at our campsite. It'll be running right by in a stream or river!
