The old saying "Use it or lose it" applies to me

Anyway...I just fired up my TOPO software and tried to input the #s and it was a no go
Pay no attention to the #s in the JPG now, I shut the program down before getting a print screen the first time.
It's asking me for 3 sets of #s, and I tried inputting them into the fields as:
47 01 384, and it says the last set is to high, it can't be over 60.
I them tried it again with 01.384 for just the 2nd box, and still a no go.
I find GPS's very non user friendly when trying to input the code.
I was going to input the waypoint into TOPO, then upload it into my E-trex.

Corey,
Looks like the coordinates given are in degress and minutes (ddd mm.mmm).
I think your software is expecting you to enter them in degrees/minutes/seconds format (ddd mmm sss). There are 60 minutes in a degree and 60 seconds in a minute.
Either change the sw settings if you can to let you enter degrees and minutes or convert the fractional part of the minutes to seconds by multiplying that by 60 (and rounding to the nearest whole number if necessary - I don't know if your sw lets you enter fractions of a second) (.384x60=23.04 and .427x60=25.62).
Hope this works.
Just entered the coordinates as I converted them (N 47 01 23.04 and W 121 08 25.62) and I get a spot on the N. side of the Little Naches River near the Crow Creek campground according to the USGS map my sw uses.

Thanks Alan, I got it.
Changed the settings in the software.
I use National Geographics TOPO software, which is suppose to be some of the best out there, as it uses real maps.
I also have the Garmim one, but it's PC generated "fake" maps.
Here's a few maps the software made of the GPS cords.

i havent actually dove yet, but my dad does, he actually goes in the tri-cities, a friend of ours has a jump plane and a dz. the only other place around here to do it is richland skysports, i think thats the name, but they have lots of accidents and will jump in any weather and wind condition, even if they have like 400ft of visibility. ive seen them do it, pretty scary stuff man!
