Good news is, the steering works, bad news is, I can't turn nearly as tight with the shortened pitman arm :o(

Which steering arms are you using Gibby (allpro, ott, sky)? Depending on which you have you might be able to swap them out for a shorter pair which will help with that. I sure hope you got some strong welds on that pitman, sounds like a pretty scary steering setup to me.

All Pro. They don't seem really long...

I did a pretty good weld, but I won't know till I crank on it. I might pick up a spare. I could probably get about another 1/2" in length, but don't know if that'll be enough.

Sky's arms are supposedly the shortest available. The best fix would be to plate the frame if you haven't already and move the whole box forward as far as needed.

That was another thought I had last night as well. I think that is going to be the preferred long term solution.

Last year? There wasn't a last year. This is actually the first annual (hopefully annual) yotajam. Figure a tank of gas and enough food for however many days you plan to camp, camping is free.

I'm going to merge this with the main thread, if anyone has any additional questions please keep them in this thread. It'll both help us help you sooner as we receive email notification of the post, and it'll help keep this section clean. Thanks.

And if you get caught doing that you'll be in even deeper doodoo than without plates. You can get a 3-day temp permit at the DMV, it's not very expensive. The longest drive to trail will be the west-east Naches run, the others are pretty close to where we'll camp.

Also Wade, I don't know if you saw the pic I PM'd you of that CB yet but if you didn't my cable modem is hung up at the moment so my site is down, it'll be back up in an hour or so when I get home.

Okay, Gene, Smegal, Shane and myself met this evening to finalize the details. There's lots of stuff coming over the next 24 hours, including but not limited to, the final schedule of events, turn by turn driving instructions and a ton of details surrounding the trail runs.

But, for now I wanted to "leak" this. We have a location It is subject to change if Shane gets out there Wednesday and finds a problem with it. Either way I will be sending email to all the registered emails as well as posting here and on the registration and info pages, the final location Wednesday evening after Shane calls them out to me. Remember folks, this is "dry" camping. We are not on the river, but actually across FS road from it and there are no facilities beyond a flat section of ground. If you require formal restroom facilities or running water, you will likely end up camped 1/4 mile Southeast in the Kaner Flats pay area. Come prepared.

The GPS coords of the planned site for those of you playing along at home are N47 01.384 W121 08.427. Again, that will be final confirmed Wednesday when Shane gets over there and locks down the spot.

Here's a couple of maps of the planned location:

We have signage that will be up to get you into camp as well as a CB that will be on so once Shane has the site locked down, it should be pretty easy to get everyone in.

Question My set up?

Hey YJ prerunners I wanted to get your input on my set up. I have the 4 inch suspension lift sitting on 35 inch TXRs. I do not have lockers or sway disconnects. Im a few doors down from factory but want to know will TXRs and my set up be ok for the trail runs or should I switch to a set of 33 inch Super Swampers with 50% tread left? I dont want to run into issues due to my set up. Help man help!

TXR's will be fine. Unless we get a massive rain storm in the next couple of days, it's REALLY dry out there and your swampers would be kind of out of their element.
