The truck is still my DD well 75% of the time but i would rather not mess with the square shafts.

Better question for the Pirate crowd.. I'd do some searching first before you just ask though.

you don't need to ask over there...there are about 100 threads with full width buildups with leafs, coils, coilvers, airshocks etc...Just search around.

All you need are pinion flanges for whatever axles you have that adapt to Toyota driveshafts.

These are commonly available from High Angle Driveline for both 44's and 60's.

Would someone explain how building a square shaft would aleviate the problem? I am pretty sure that is like telling the guy to buy an elephant.

There is nothing special about these axles in front other than spring perch width, full width axles are in the 31" pin to pin range. Toyota is 29ish. Combine that with brakes and you are good to go.

ok i will do some hunting. It will be a D44 in the front and a 14bolt FF rear. My buddys doing up the steering and the links. I just have to work out the driveshaft issue and the coils.

Colorado seems to be pretty lax on this. My buddy has the bed off his S10 and 3/4ton driveline in it no bed all cage and has yet to be pulled over.
