Rear driveshaft interchangability?

Hi all, I was out wheeling my 88 4x4 extra cab truck last weekend, and got the drive shaft hung up on a rock. Didnt mess it up TOO bad, but its to the point where it vibrates and id like to pick up a new one. AFter searching i coudlnt find any info, so, when im at the junkyard what years can i pull shafts out of? its a 22re 5 speed if that helps any.

'84-'88 Xcab or long bed pickup should work, given the same setup as yours. If you have the 2-piece with center bearing, get one like that. Try http://www.car-part.com/. Of find a local driveshaft shop and have yours re-tubes with heavier wall tubing.

HEY!!!!!! That car-part.com's a secret! Your makin' this too easy now! Just replaced my 88's shaft from them recently, VERY CHEAP, too. $150

not as cheap as my square front shaft. 150 for a front shaft is rediculous. you could get your rear shaft retubed and rockwell ballanced for that much.
