Cam bolts on 22RE
Is it necessary to loc-tite the cam bolts (the bolts holding the cam journals down)? I torqued them to 9lbs (i think) whatever the FSM says...which seems light but I guess with aluminum threads you're better safe than sorry?
And if 'yes' to the loc-tite, can I loosen the head bolts and retorque with the same HG (haven't fired the motor yet....still assembling).

No need to loc-tite. The force of the cam is distributed throughout the several bearing caps (cam journals), so 9lbs is plenty.
Now, why would you need to loosen the headbolts? Whatever the case, if you don't disturb the gasket AT ALL by shifting the head around, I say you will be fine. I did the same on my V6, and so far so good after several hundred miles. I made a post on some issues I ran into where I had to loosen the bolts and retorque them. It's kind of a long read, but lots of info.
