Use Amsoil. I use mobil 1 right now because I'm poor and my pickup needs non-synthetic for now, so I can buy in slightly larger quantities and use it in both trucks.

More Questions for you guys using Amsoil. Which of the amsoil oils are you using? If I remember correctly they have at least three types. Also are you using the extended oil change intervals as they recommend. If so, do you change the filter part way through the interval?

None of the above.

I use Costal (Auto Zone store brand made by some unknown oil company, probably Texaco) Its about $3.50 a quart for full synthetic 10w-30 or 5W-30. All other synth motor oil is $5 a quart and its probably the same thing with all the extra money going to advertising and race team sponsorship and corporate executive quarterley bonuses.

Here are the 3 types of Amsoil I use in my rig.
http://www.pnw4runners.com/tech/2nd_gen_fluids.jpg

The oil I use is for 25K drain intervals, though the longest I have gone is about 4K so far.

I also use an Amsoil oil filter.
Toyota oil filters are very good, but the Amsoil one will filter down to smaller microns, so that is why I use one now.

Redline

I'll use Redline or Mobil1.

I hate Amsoil because of their cheesy Amway style marketing.

the best oil that there is by a long shot, not even a contest, i will stand by it for all my living years VALVOLINE nothing out there better for your internal combustion engine

for instance i bought my old yota with 140000 from the origanal owner who ran penzoil its whole life when the engine blew up at 142000 i ripped every thing apart and nasty crud everywhere the inside of the valve cover was black

my other yoter with 215000 that had VALVOLINE through it its whole life that wasnt blown just needed a valve adjustment was completely clean looking brand new and is still rockin hard

BUT OF COURSE THESE ARE ALL OPINIONS
it just so happens im always right

What do you think about blends. I am using QuakerState SUV 4x4 blend oil, because it was on sale and it sounded cool. I have used them the past 2 oil changes and it seems to be ok, should I just go fully synthetic or back to dino? Are there any real benefits to the blended formulas?

I use Castrol 10-30. I've always stuck with Castrol or valvoline.

The only thing I am leary of with the Semi-sythetics is "How much is actually synthetic?" I have never found that out. If it's half then it might be worth it. But It doesn't say. So I stick with the dino brands.
