motor size question?

i was wondering if there was any diffrence between the 1990 model and the 95 model?
i know there 3.0 liters. i couldn't find any specs on it.

They are both essentially the same, with some slightly different emissions equipment.

There is a small difference in the timing belt tensioner too, or so I'm told.

i didnt think there was any difference mechanical wise, but i guess these guys know better than me, the grille is different, and 90-92 come with an optional spare tire carrier.. thats all i know... just figured i would say what i knew..

The timing belt tensioner changed in '92 as well as the fan pulley bracket and upper timing belt cover. I believe Toyota introduced a Limited model 4Runner in either '94 or '95, and as far as I know, these were the only models with leather.

The '90 (maybe '91 also) 4runners were available as a 2 door model.

I was just reading a thread a couple minutes ago saying that the '95 manual transmission had different shifter assembly.

That's all I know.
