'88 steering wheel horn buttons
This "feature" has irritated me for over 19 years. I have the steering wheel with 2 horn buttons, one on each spoke. After all this time, I still often accidentally push one of the buttons when turning the wheel in tight situations. Is there any way to make the buttons less sensitive (e.g., stiffen up the feel before they activate the horn)? Or would I just be better off scouring junk yards for a replacement steering wheel with the center horn button?
What other Toyota steering wheels (year, model) will fit an '88 2WD short bed if I'm going to start looking for a replacement wheel?

I originally had a grey wheel like the one you describe with the 2 buttons. I got one just like this one and it fits fine in my '88. I'm not sure if there's a difference between 2WD and 4WD steering wheels.

theres no difference between 2wd and 4wd steering wheels. I have the same steering wheel as the one you describe in my 4x4 and 2x4 '87 yotas.
tho, im not irratated by them or the horns. Friends find it pretty damn funny when i keep hittin the horn offroadin... and so do I =)
