How to remove sticky stuff from guage cluster

Yes this is another SR5 guage cluster question!!!

I just received a cluster I got off of ebay and when it arrived the junkyard had put one of its labels (about a 3x5 sticky backed label) across a large portion of the back. I got the majority of it off but there's still about five or six places where there's label and/or sticky residue.

Normally I'd use some kind of solvent (acetone) but I don't want to damage anything. I'm not sure if I should even use soapy water. Any ideas on a safe way to remove this stuff without damaging anything. Do you think it'd be okay to leave the stuff as long as its not in a crucial area.
Thanks

could try Goo Gone just don't use to much a wipe with damp cloth after... or do you have exposed circuit boards? I don't remeber what the back of mine looks like...

Hmmm...a hot hair drier to the area? Hold it over a steaming tea kettle?

If it's on the back, can't you just leave the remaining pieces?

Be careful with GooGone, it'll work, but it may dull the finish. I figure if you're worried about a label that you won't see, then you may be worried about the finish of said label landing zone.

Try one of the citrus based adhesive dissolvers, or for that matter squeeze a lemon or a lime on to it and let it sit for a bit.

Most of the automotive cleaner type waxes will remove the adhesive residue. I use Maguires cleaner/wax for lots of adhesive removals including the heat tape on the underside of OE CPU coolers.
