Does anyone have access to a waterjet?

I need some header flanges cut for my 3VZ-FE header swap. Can someone help me get the header flanges cut if I give them some pictures of some current ones that have been made and a set of exhaust manifold gaskets.

There is a guy on one of the MR2 boards that makes them for $45 but he is sold out and not making another batch for a few months. I am hoping to have my 4Runner finally finished (engine wise) by the end of February and I can't wait for his next batch. Can anyone help me out?

yeah, send me pics, AND dimensions... I can draw them up in AutoCad to get a DXF print, then I'll send it out for quote at two places... what do you need tolerance wise??? CNC Plasma is much cheaper and still comes out nice IMO... I'll find a closeup of stuff I did on CNC plasma for reference

edit: or send me pics, and I will draw them and have you give me the dimensions I need

edit 2.0: oh and send me a pm when you get this post, and get the pics

Email me a clean DXF with no layers drawn with continuous poly line , and the only layer named 0B1(zero B one) and I would do it for a token $20.00 plus shipping. I will need to know how thick of plate you want them cut out of, Stainless steel? and how many flanges you will need.
Happy to help. Duck Trapper

Wondering which flange ? Header to cyl head? or header to exhaust pipe, or both? I noticed on my stock 3VZ-3 cast manifold, the flange is .50" and the 3 flange bolts are actually studs threaded into the flange .Will you be doing the same? If the holes are to be tapped it would be best to cut the flange with out bolt holes, and do that on the CNC HAAS mill. in that case I will need info as to hole locations, diamiter, and thread type .

I need you or someone to verify all the dimensions so far... I'm pretty sure the dims on the ones I circled in red were given to me wrong, otherwise everything is at this point so far

You have mail.

The holes are wrong. I was trying to get the measurements to you quick and I was off an inch on both of them.

Duck Trapper- The heads are 3VZ-FE heads from a Camry (DOHC). Basically what I need are flanges to make up a set of headers. The holes in the flange don't need to be threaded, the heads have studs that stick out through the flanges and nuts go on the ends. This is completely a custom project. Seems like my whole 4Runner is custom at this point. I'll have to make a list of parts if I ever sell it or the new owner will be completely lost.

I've used http://www.emachineshop.com/ before. Not the cheapest but you are doing one-off jobs. They did a laser cut flat pattern out of .090 steel for a plate I needed. It came up to about $150 shipped and it was exactly what I ordered.

That honestly seems pretty steep. There is a guy on one of the MR2 boards that makes and sells these flanges that are 1/2" thick for $45 per set. I was going to buy them from him, but he makes them in batch and is sold out for a few months. I have actually gotten quotes from emachineshop in the past and I thought they were steep back then. I was asking them to design the part that I wanted made though, so that could be why.

Either way, thanks for the idea. I just think that it can be done for cheaper. And duck trapper has already offered to cut it for a pretty cheap price. Of course that was before he found out how thick I want it. I guess he'll tell me if the price has increased or not.
