finally after two months waiting for the new exhuast manifold to arrive.I had two problems tho.First i had a stripped bolt thread on the head for the manifold, put in a helicoil for the first time way to cool!!!! Second had to tap the manifold threads to 1,50 for the turbo adapter plate.I want to thank jason at TEC TURBOS for all he did for us so far. My son and i cant wait to get this truck running again. Not bad for a novice mechanic.

it came from http://www.turboengineering.com, ask for jason owns a toyota turbo himself. we got a whole kit which included an adaptor plate, t3 turbo, down pipe with flex joint, exhaust system, and all oil lines, gaskets, and a new O2 sensor, and we also ordered a new exhaust manifold for about 1900 bucks. he turbo is a garrett T3 AR60.

Ahh.. It's the TEC kit! I've read pretty good things about it. Let me know if you ever do a dyno run...

TEC kit, very cool.

I know it's supposed to be a straight bolt in, but because of the extra distance away from the manifold due to the adapter plate, is there any fit issue with the stock intake pipe to the TB?

You'd better get a dyno done! I know Darin will dyno his, so I'm curious to see what different turbo/goodie combinations will do what.

stronger/less prone to cracking, cheaper.
