wasted dashboard space ideas?

Hi everyone. 3rd gen 4runner, what do you guys (or gals) do with the space under the CD player and the space under the cigarette lighter? Any useful modifications available?

I have an air gauge in there to read the pressure in an air tank for my horns, and I'm about to put a inside/outside thermometer in there.

I've seen pics of other rigs with things like oil pressure gauges, charging indicators, auxillary power, a bank of switches for things like fog lights and driving lights, etc.

I put my cell phone there......

But the outside temp gauge is really interesting to me, I might think of putting that in since I'm not used to the cold weather here in the midwest

mpulver & all, thanks for the welcome and ideas.

I've had this 4runner since new and it's been great. Just changed my rotors (replaced with OEM) and put on some performance friction brake pads. Other than a stereo upgrade, it's pretty much stock.

I can't believe no one said "put a CB in there". That's what is going in mine - sometime soon.

I have a auxillary power supply outlet velcroed in there. Nothing fancy, but it works for me.
