The upper driver side vent right under the vent windows duct has been missing. I found an oem replacement and bought it. The mounting screw looks like you have to drop the parking brake handle to get at? And there is a blue cable that is pretty taught that runs from the engine compartment to the rear of the heater control unit it appears. This cable runs exactly where the duct needs to go, it is tightly ran right in front of the opening for the vent that is right behind the driver side of the heater/AC control panel.
What does this blue cable do and can it be re routed or moved and under more ‘tension’?

Thank you for the reply. Yes I’d does. I actually was able to get it by putting it on “cold” then pushing the cable upwards and I got lucky the duct popped right onto the main plenum now I’ll tape up the other end in the morning and be good to go.
