Question the hidden compartment inside 03 glove compartment

That is for the Factory CD changer right? It seem like kinda shallow for a changer, only maybe about 5" deep. I just want to make sure it is a spot for the factory CD changer not the compartment for the AC filter, and the dealer forgot to install the filter there. But the way, where do you think the airbag depoly out of on the passenger side? I don't see any "opening" on the passenger side of the dash.

It is either for the CD changer or you can unclip the lower shelf and push it upward to give you more room in the main glovebox.

Owners manual details it very nicely.

Factory CD Changer...

the hidden compartment actually gets removed and you'll have more room behind it. if you check the service manual details, it'll show ya

Passenger airbag gets deployed by the flat vertical panel between the top of the dash and the glove box.
