Transmission solenoids locations A340h

Hi!

My transmission (a340h) is trowing some codes and according to my search and symptoms it looks like if i replace the solenoids it might fix it (fingers crossed).

Since i don't want to f*&^ this up can anyone name the solenoids on this picture from me so i don't install them in the wrong spot. ( i don't even know if it is possible but cannot be to sure)

Blue = ?
Yellow = ?
Green = ?
(please open the pic and match them accordingly)

Thank you!

That looks like a A340F to me, like a 2001 Taco. What truck do you have?

Here's some info on a 93 A340H, the diagram on page 2 show the solenoid locations. Page 11 has the solenoid testing proceedure:

What problems are you having w/ the trans, if any? What could the solenoids going bad cause? Curious cause my a340h isn't putting power to the wheels in any gear.

The picture might be wrong ( i did not take the pic but i was sure that it was an a340h )
Does anyone have a picture of a a340h solenoid locations?

I have a 87 4runner turbo and it feels like it has no 2nd gear. when i start moving it goes quickly from 1st to 3rd (turd) and i have to manually shift if need to go up and incline.

I drives fine after it gets going.

And MtnGoat thanks for that link it helps a lot.
I just wish i had an actual picture of the solenoids location so i don't f@*% this up.

Thank's you all this place rocks

I had a solenoid go bad on my 4runner last winter. It took the dealership 3 weeks to fix the problem, they couldn't figure out which one was bad. I guess there FSM was messed up. I ended up getting 3 new solenoids, and a new valve body.

If you look at the pic, the vehicle has a drivers side drop for the front driveshaft and rack & pinion stearing... has to be a 96+ Tacoma or 4runner. My guess is a 2001 Tacoma because it looks like this guys truck:

Here's a pic of the solenoids. The TCC solenoid is usually called #3, it's the torque converter lockup solenoid.

trying to bump an old thread as opposed to starting another new one.

Can anyone confirm that there is a 4th solenoid in the t case of later A340H models?

Thanks mt goat!

I've seen that schematic, but have read some conflicting descriptions of the A340H and transfer case.

When cold (usually first start up in the morning), my transmission will only engage 2 Low (even when shifter indicates D). I'm leaning towards this solenoid or the Transfer position sensor as the culprit. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Hi everyone, been searching yotatech and google for 2hrs now.
Would any of you be able to tell what this plug is for?
1995 runner 3.0 automatic. It's located passenger side directly behind bell housing.I think it maybe TC lockup? Was doing a motor swap and somehow the plug for it has been deleted. If I know what it is or even the wire colors I can manually wire it back to what it needs. Thank you to anyone, very much appreciated
