amazing, the amount of work you put into this is well beyond what any of us would ever dream of attempting, it really goes to show that with time and patience you can do pretty much anything to once of our trucks
Definitely inspirational. I'm just starting to dig into my '84 and don't have room for a complete frame-up, but I'll be hitting up this thread anytime I get frustrated by how long it's taking me.
I just finished building a blasting cabinet that's big enough for a bumper, front fenders, door panels, etc.. so that'll be fun.
First project is dropping the tranny, transfer case, driveshafts, etc. and resealing, refurbishing, etc.
Glad to see the the heavy use of POR 15. Mine's a Colorado truck that was basically rust free (except for the bed - of course) but two years in PA has the rust creeping in. Shiny black axles, driveshafts and undercarriage is going to be soo pretty.
Thanks for the details, the inspiration and the dedication.
are these the stock seats that you had redone, or something else?
this project is absolutely amazing. I do NOT have the patience you have

I just read the ENTIRE thread and might I say... Well done!
It really makes me want to buy a 1st gen (Pickup or Trekker) and do a frame off restoration/build up! I just gotta wait until a good deal comes up and I make the purchase!
Also, not sure if I missed it, but what lift do you have on this?
i know what you mean corey, building them is all the fun but i wouldnt sell it, you know as soon as it leaves your driveway youll be wishing it was back, heres a good question, how much do you think you has invested in this? and how much would you really get out of it?
