I just found this thread about a week ago and I've finally finished reading all of it. This has to be the best rebuild/restore I've ever seen. It's simply amazing what you have done to this truck, you basically built it from scratch and it's better than new! This one will last a LONG time, if it were me I could never consider selling it after all that work. Congrats on the wins at the shows. If I'm ever up in BC I'm tracking you down so I can see it in person LOL.

Also, not sure if I missed it, but what lift do you have on this?
thanks Nick
as per your PM .. answered .

front bumpers are no longer avaliable .. took me about a year to find this used NOS one . Grill ,I scored from one of the trucks I parted . I did "restore" it myself thought , polished the chrome , repainted the black sections and re painted the emblem .

Thanks for reading .. dont know if I'll actually sell it , but my shop is growing , so the cash infusion would be a good thing . We (my company) are also building NEW molds for the trekker , so i'm going to build another one in the next couple of years . It look very stock , but with 21st century technology .
You are always welcome to come for a visit .

ohhh .. and drove her today .. another few weekends yet before she goes into hibernation for the winter

sun was out , and wanting to change the oil , today was the day ... She didnt really need it , but , what the hell , see deserves it

drained the old stuff , and super surprised .
She has been sitting for 4 months with not turning over the engine once . I figured the oil filter would be empty , as "everyone" says there oil filters empty out . I know, and have known for many years the OE filters have the anti drain valve , but ya here so many stories .

Well i'm here to tell you , in my case , 4 months of sitting , the filter was still FULL ... this is EXACTLY I will never use any other oil filter

well , now with the sun shinin' I'm really wantin' to get her out of the "vault"

Finally! Those skirts were driving me crazy and your truck disgusted me

But seriously, though. I still take a peek at this thread every now and then for inspiration.

Nice to see it back at car shows!

What are some of the most common questions you get asked about it?
