nope, it wont play burned cds of mp3s.... its computer brain wont recognize it..... however a mod chip will let it... it is physically capable, but its software prevents it...

I don't think so. My buddy just installed one in his xbox along with a 120gb hd. He can make "backup copies" of his discs and play them on the xbox. I believe he can also copy the full game to the hardrive so where he doesn't have to use the disc anymore to play the game.

I think he bought the Xenium ICE.

not from what i have read, however, i have an mp3 player on my computer and our cd player downstairs will read all media types

i have read though that one of those computer nerd kids has to install it as it deals with soldering on an I/C board..... i am pretty handy but an I/C board is way too tiny for my huge hands......

also if you play xbox live, you can get permanently banned by having a modchip

aye, nuts to that. i just ask because i'm making a mix cd for a friend, and she listens to music on xbox often. so i was hoping to burn it in mp3 format to fit more songs, but regular cd tunes it shall be. but good to know anyway.
