Wireless Internet

Just wonderin who else here has a wireless setup. I just hooked up my g/f's dads g/f's house. They are all out shoppin an I'm "doing some paperwork" on my lil tablet pc. I gotta say the connection is fast. Its a linksys g router. I'm no computer guru an I got it all running no problems in minutes. Saved them $100.00

Same router I have. Very happy with the range and speed. Make sure you secure the network.

Best thing since sliced bread....router in the house hooked up to the cable...then I can just take the laptop out in the garage or wherever...desktop hooked up to a hardline...all for less than $100.00 hardware and hooked it all up in less than 15 minutes...the only way to surf in style!

I am going wireless later this year.
By the way, moved your thread to the Computer forum, where it will stay near the top much longer than in Off Topic.

i have a similar setup, linksys wireless g....I say similar because its about 2 years old now, but still performs perfectly....I recommend sercuring the network, preferrably with WPA, but for residential setups WEP will do fine...
