Windows power toys "image resizer"
I'm having trouble with it. I used to be able to resize my pics for my avitar, but now it makes them around 12-15 Kb which is too big. It's driving me nuts! I didn't do anything different. Can some one give me some insight to this.

You can not compress with that cool program, one of its drawbacks.
Do you have another graphics program?
Most good ones have a "slider" in the area where you save the pic so you can compress it more.
I compress most of my pics by 30% after I have sized it down (most of the time to a 1024x768) from the 1280x960 setting my digicam takes its pics at.

The only other program that I have is adobe photoshop 7.0, but I don't even bother to try and size them down with that. Does any one know how to size down a photo using adobe?
Corey, the thing that gets me is that it did work just fine. Now all of a sudden it doesn't work for making avatars.

I too have Photoshop 7.
When you save a pic as a JPG, it asks you how much you want to compress it.

When you say size down, do you mena in file size or pixel size?
Easy to do both with PS 7.
