Windows installer screwy
I learned of this problem the other night when I tried to install a webcam and for some reason it wasn't recognizing my USB ports. So I downloaded my motherboard drivers again and didn't fix it. So I started getting some errors. I researched it and everytime I go to the run and type in services.msc and go to my windows installer to start the service, it says could not start the service on local computer: Access denied. So everytime I go to uninstall anything or install it gives me the access denied thing. Anyone have any advice for fixing this windows installer issue?

either the account you have doesnt have admin rights or the installer app is broken.
there is a windows cleanup for the add/remove thing.
fixed my problem with sonic...

Or better yet, log in as administrator and install it, then continue using your regular account. Makes for better security.
If that doesn't work, I have seen a few hosed machines displaying this kind of behavior while logged in as administrator. IIRC, the only way I could repair them was to reformat.

You've got an infection of some sort. You can try to fight it, but a reformat is almost always quicker (assuming you can reinstall everything you have now and can backup your data).
