does anyone here have the new powerbooks with the better resolution screens, I bought mine right before apple released the better screens, and I have heard people see weird lines in them.

I've used one...the resolution isn't *that* much better..but still a welcome upgrade. Near the end of my warranty, I'll have Apple replace mine w/ a new one!

I had my last 1.5ghz 15" for a year and 9 days when it broke and was out of warranty..Apple gave me a brand new in retail box 1.67..with a FULL WARRANTY!

My 15" TI 667 just got a new lease on life thanks to Sonnet Tech she's now a 1.2 and they even repaired the 2nd usb port. Running OS X Tiger and VPC 7, I even have it networked with my iPAQ through the Airport base. Just sold my TI 400 had to pay for the upgrade somehow

Got a Pismo Powerbook, a G4 466 DA and a PowerMac 5500. Thought about replacing them but the only new Mac that is a big enough advancment is the G5 Dual or Quad. Need to start running Virtual PC....Or build myself a PC.

I have a 12" G4 powerbook with 1256 mb ram superdrive and the 5400 100 gig hard drive. Running OS X Tiger. I got mine after the new brighter screens supposedly came out, but i don't really notice much of a difference. I'm not sure if the 12" got the upgraded screen or not? It's my first mac (i've used plenty through the years just never had the money to buy one until now) and I love it! Much better than than any PC's ive used.
