'k, so... something's not right. I'm out of ideas, but the ones I had came from Google. Other folks are having similar issues and many are reporting success with changing the mousewheel options.

I'd hit up Google and see if you can find more info. One person talked about having to update his trackpad drivers. Here're a couple of searches to get you started:

Here's a side question... Before we started messing with the mousewheel options, did the trackpad control history navigation (backward/forward)? If NOT, then I think something's up outside of FF. What version of FF is this?

Slimbrowser... free and done by the same people that did Firefox (I think). It uses MS Explorer, includes everything I'm aware of, and was the first to use Tabbed browsing. I've never had any problems with it. I've got so many groups of tabs that I'd not give it up unless there were problems, or something better. I tried Firefox... just didn't add anything I could find... speed, security etc. So the small learning curve didn't seem worth the effort.

Especially as I have all those very useful tab groups already collected.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

ewwwwwwwwww! That would like pouring liquid nitrogen into a vat of molten steel!

I can't find anything on the site in a quick look, but I would guess that given Slim is based on IE, then the FF folks had nothing to do with it.

SB has been around a long time. What I remember, and I could be wrong, there was some kind of split in the Firefox/Mozilla ranks. One of the projects they were working on at the time of the split, was SB.

Wouldn't mention it if I wasn't sure of its value (time spent by user). As a user of browser's from the begining... I like it. Also, I don't like going down a path too divergent from MS, as, like it or not, they continue to dominate. It is easy to end up holding a bag (filled with time lost) by spending a lot of time on non-MS stuff, as I'm sure you know. Its a question of where you want to spend your time. I should know, I've wasted a ton going back to the '60s. Many languages... etc.
