i cant exactly remember the temps, i havent been gaming that much since then. next time it happens ill post the temps up.

 

I'd get more fans for sure...Like I had stated, I added fans to my case and added fans to my desk to keep it cool. The cooler the better.

 

just reloaded windows 7 RC client onto my spare hard drive and am in it right now. got a new wireless card. hey its compatible with windows 7 64bit. and hey i even found drivers for my sound blaster live! value card... ha. OH MY GOD what a difference 7 is over Vista!!! i just downloaded a 50mb file in 2 minutes!! and its running QUICKLY!!! OH MY GOD! when i get the money i am SO buying windows 7!! for now ill keep using the RC client. . (beta)

 

Go with it. I'm running 7 on my work desktop, and laptop and it's running great!!! both are 64 bit machines. I also loaded it on my home machine (32 bit) and it's running very smooth. I'm thinking of getting another couple copies for my home laptop and my lil lady's laptop. I'm thinking it will run on 2GB quite well compared to Vista.

 

ive been wondering though... would it be a good idea to reload 7 RC 7100 onto my SATA drive (the one vista is on) and format this one and use it for data, or would it be better to just leave it the way it is until i can afford to upgrade my mobo/processor and buy 7 pro?

 

im looking at prices for windows 7 64bit professional (i doubt i need ultimate) and in a local shop i can get the full win7 64bit for 150, and on newegg i can get the version for SYSTEM BUILDERS for like 130. whats the difference between the version for system builders and the regular version?

For the "system builder's" OEM edition, the difference is it can only be installed on one machine, and if that machine significantly changes (read- new CPU and Mobo) or is replaced, you have to buy a new Windows license. The "full edition" on the other hand can be kept and installed on new machines as long as you uninstall it from the old one (only one install at a a time obviously...)

 

ah... i thought it might be something like that.. wasnt sure though. if somethins cheaper than the other, theres gotta be some reason like that.
