Photo tools missing in XP
Not on my comp, but on a friend's PC that I use to work with at the Boeing Renton Plant.
Here is the pic.
You can see the tools ops in the far left, his is missing, and he has to use the tool bar at the top.
I have looked at all the ops in the menu to see if there is a way to disable mine on the left, and I do not see it.
I am sure it is not a SP1 or SP2 thing, as I am pretty sure it was there on mine before I ever installed those two packs.
He just reinstalled XP and has run into this snafu.
Anyone have the cure?
So far he does not have SP2 installed.

Try this:
Right click on My Computer, go to Properties, then Advanced, and click on Performance Settings. Make sure "Use Common Tasks In Folders" is selected. It's the third one from the bottom on that list.
If that's not what you meant, I didn't understand the question correctly.
I'm assuming you're upgrading him to SP2 anyway?

you can also do it like this: tools, folder options, and its the very first option.

Chris, you hit it man.
I just tried it on mine, and it went away with it and all other folders too.
I rechecked it and it all came back
Garrett, yep, it was it.
He has the link to the forum here, so he should see this.
Been trying to get him to sign up here in the past, as he has a nice older pre-Taco 4WD.
