ok guys, What are these programs?
Ok, everytime I'm on the web, after while it'll start to take a while to go between pages, links won't always work, and it just works so slow after a while.... I have DSL 1500kps and I'll check my task manager and I'll be up around 45-70% cpu usage sometimes. It's not that i've got a ton of windows open or anything, but i've always got about 37-45 programs running in the background. I've noticed that on a few of those "background" programs, if i shut down one or two everything kicks into highgear again.... so help me out-
what are-
devldr32.exe
CTnotify.exe
vetmsg.exe
just to name a few-
they're all in a prefetch file under windows.
also, what safe mode should i be in so that i can delete a possible trojan? win32 mersting????
thanks guys-

be careful... don't jsut go deleteing programs.... your computer needs some of those 40 running programs to run......
if you arent running any firewall, virus protection or anti-spyware programs you probably have spyware on your computer....

yeah, run a google search on each one, you'll find out lots.
i didn't read the results, but just verified that they do come up with google.
you may find removal instructions on those pages.
i run trend micro anti virus software with anti adware/spyware features, use mozilla browser, and have microsoft's anti-spyware program, and that combination has helped keep my computer free of that crap, so something like that should work for you too.

ok, quick google shows:
devldr32.exe is installed with Creative Labs audio hardware.
tnotify.exe is a installed alongside some Creative Technology audio products.
vetmsg.exe is a process that belongs to the eTrust EZ Antivirus from Computer Associates.
http://www.liutilities.com/ is the site that keeps coming up first on google when i search for these. It sounds like you may have some garbage running, but these don't seem too bad.
