Ozzie, I'm confused. You put OSX and Win7 on your computer, as well as some flavour of GNU/Linux. Is there some point to running two *NIXes? What is it that the Linux distro you installed can do that your OSX install can't?
I'd say blast that GNU/Linux install and start learning the *nix ropes on your OSX install, just look for the xterm app.

I seriously considered hackintosh on my laptop (Dell D620 with C2D) until I read that they're having a hard time getting ethernet and audio to work.
I'll stick with W7 for now. Don't need to play with an OS on something I use for contract gigs (i.e. "make money") anyway.
