gaming online?

gaming online?
Hey folks I'm in the midst of building a new system for online gaming and was wondering if any of ya'll would be interested in getting together on the weekends to waste some time behind a keyboard. I usually spend about 500$ on a new system every 3 or 4 years and this week I had some extra money so I hit Newegg for some goodies.
So what do you think? I like anything with a fictional grounding in the game play, but not WOW or one of those time intensive things. Maybe NWN2 or one of the BF2 platforms, maybe CIV4? Since the house was broken into and I lost all of my games I've been looking to get into something new. Left 4 Dead looks neat and I like the coop mode, never been good at PVP since it goes against my helpful nature but I'll try almost anything once or twice. Heck when I still played BF2 I was a medic 100% of the time, I just like being able to help. In that regard I'm a damn good cleric in NWN.

I am into Unreal Tournament III.
I use to run a server hosting the game with my friend who runs a Counter Strike:Source server and forum, but we took UT off it a year back.
Not enough played.
But I still play online on other servers and against bots on my PC.
The UT series of games are my favorite.

Yes, first person shooter.
