After I work all day, meticulously tending the spaghetti fields in preparation for harvest, I like to unwind with something geeky in the evening. So, after the family goes to bed, I stay up late, working by candle light, hand coding those ASCII images until they look right. Sure, it's a lot of monotonous work, but when you finish one up, it all seems worth it.

hehehehhe

Yours was a lot of work because the white is hard to get right...

If anyone's curious, I wrote an app that will take a BMP and create ASCII art.

It's pretty raw in that I never put in the JPG support, and it's got some specific input requirements regarding size, but I can make the source available (it's in C).


I'll write myself a note to dig it out. I think it's still around!
