where to get a firestik?

i want a 3' firestick but i am not too excited to order it online. where is a place in colorado springs that has a good selection and a fair price. i also need a bracket to go with it. i am willing to pay a little more to buy it locally as opposed to buying it on the internet but still want it reasonable. sorry if this is in the wrong spot. thank you.

Firestick is a mobile radio brand name. Mostly they make fiberglass antennas with a wound wire conductor. Most people refer to those types of connectors as a "Firestick", kind of like a Kleenex.

I have found all Firestick products to be of excellent quality.

byron4, try the "TA" or "Flying J" truck stop. You can also open up your phone book and look for a local CB/Communications shop...I'm sure theres at least 1 or 2 in in the Springs.

If you want I will give you a 3' Firestick with a spring. You just cover the shipping costs. PM me if you are interested.

If not, make sure you get a Firestick II, much easier to tune. Just screw the bolt in or out, a lot better than having to cut and remove wire.

The reason I'm giving it away is that the location where I have my antenna mounted, the shorter firestick was reflecting too much back into the body and giving me high SWR's. If you are mounting to the hood or front bumper you should be ok.

The 5.5' Francis is what I have in the pics above.

I used the firestick mount listed first on this page but bought at a local truckstop.
