just got 1 radio myself. probably will end up with a cb eventually too. I know some people mounted multiple radios in their center console.

just a heads up in some states having a scanner that can pickup police frequencies is illegal, and a large fine (I know for a fact NY is one of em, but im not sure what other states)

i cant rember on the 3rd gen pickups, but second gen ones have a double decker stereo and you can replace it with a single height stereo and have room to put a cb in with your stereo or i have seen people mount them on the passenger side on the glove box and in the center console. sorry i dont have any pics but i have seen them in these places.

I got my cb, a smaller cobra mounted where the ashtray was and if you have a pocket under the cd/tape deck you can place a large cb or scanner there.

You may have to drill/cut something anyway. The CB should fit in the ashtray, it may take a little convincing though....as for the radio in the DIN slot, that'll depend on the size of the radio

Here's the thread I started to show where I mounted my cb. Although I don't have both a scanner and a cb, maybe this will help you figure out how to mount your stuff.

Maybe you can mount one in the dash and the other like this:

Yea, you need to give the ashtray a little trim width wise. I Bolted mine in using the supplied bracket into the dash panels and amazingly its pretty strong.

Remote mount CB

[IMG][/IMG]

Scanner on an "arm"

Tho if I were doing ti today Id get a Uniden BCT-15 with the remote head.

Also if you have a "ham" license - it reduces the hassle factor if you get stopped with the scanner.
