For the sound system guys

Ok, I want to get a louder system in my car. I'm getting a solo-baric sub, go to the link.

The question I have is what amp do I get? I looked at a lot of them on this website, and it's just a lot of numbers and specs to me, can't understand hardly any of it. Can someone search that site and find a decent amp to push that sub. I'd appreciate it.

This one seems like a good price, and can be bridged into 1 channel. Alpine is always good, so I think you'll be satiesfied with this one.

My other suggestion to you is, go to a stereo shop, and tell them how much you have to spend, and they will let you know what your options are. After that you can either have it done at their shop, or try to get the same stuff that they tried to sell you else where.

Check the Hifonics BX1500D or the BX1000D. Class D and one ohm stable. Look on Ebay. I got my BX1000D for $226 shipped. Sounds great and provides SUPER clean power to the sub and never gets hot. You can check their website.

Good amp brand for sub ..lets see...ok I am running ppi(precision power) amp for my Alumapro sub. Older model PPI make some excellent amp. They produce very clean and powerful sound. There are a couple of other amp I would recommend such as Phoenix Gold, Diamond Audio, JL Audio or McCintosh. I would get them on Ebay too.

First off, you need an amp that produces good power at 2 ohms. That kicker is a Dual 4 ohm VC speaker so it can be wired to 2 or 8 ohms. I used to own 2 of those subs and I would recomend getting an amp that is about 600 watts. The Kicker KX600.1 would be a great amp for the job. For the box, you can get sealed of vented, i would get vented. Heres a box that is cheap and produces decent sound. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=50568

Wow, shipping on that box is the same as the box itself

It would appear so. They are offering my amp for a tad more than I paid in store.
