my system.. take a look

my plan... tell me what you think

eclipse cd3434 deck -- anyone own this or have feedback on it
$300/deck
$50/install

boston acoustics 6.5"/tweeters component set -- anyone have something to say about boston acoustics and their sound
$120 at a local tweeter
$60 install with amp

600 watt Lanzar Vibe amp
Bought for $20 from a friend, including wiring

2 10" planet audio subs -- feedback on the planet audios?
$150 from a friend
$50 install

around $700...

I was thinking the same thing. Dang, I need to start charging my friends $50 to put their decks in

Forgot to answer your questions. Your setup looks good. Can't go wrong with an Eclipse deck and some Boston components ... don't know anything about your subs though.

Boston Acoustic gear - even their cheap stuff - is good sounding and quality. I competed for several years on the IASCA circuit and ran Boston's for most of that time.

I was messing around installing stereo equipment in my old 91 toyota pickup when I was 16. I used to watch my older brother do all that stuff and pretty much just picked it up on my own. You should give it a try and save your money for something else. Amps are kinda tricky at first, but the HU and speakers should be easy to do.

As said, you can't go wrong with Boston's and an Eclipse Deck!!! I've run boston's in my last 2 cars and they are great whether running from an external amplifier or the HU's amp.

Another vote for a wheeling in B'ham adventure. I'll take shotgun with somebody...unless my underpowered 2wd w/33s is man enough for the trail!

you could find a better brand for your buck. i'd reccommend infinity, jl audio, or even polk audio. everything else is subservient.
