Factory CD for my 97 Runner?

I know it sounds cheesy- but I am looking for a factory CD player/tape deck for my 1997 Runner, as it did not come with one (the CD part).
I have been playing the Ebay game but not sure what to look for. Will just about anything (96'-02') work? Also, did they put different factory decks in a Limited as opposed to what I have, an SR5?

Thanks- As always...u guys are a big help.

teton,

just buy a new one. easy to install. find and follow my writeup in the tech section. the procedure and parts are the same regardless of wheteher you buy clarion or not.

and here's a great reason NOT to buy a used toyota cd player: it will be a few years old and used. while that may not seem significant, also consider that some people are less than picky about how dirty their music cds are when they put them into the player.

you can pick up a decent head unit for undeR $200. better than paying $50 for a used one that may be a bad purchase and then having to buy something new again.
