Deck power up from back

I like to use my 4Runner for camping and it is nice to listen to the radio while relaxing, getting ready to turn in... I sleep in the back. My head unit works off of a remote, so it's nice to change volume, channels, etc before bed.

But, to turn off the radio I have to reach and turn off the igntion key so I won't run the battery all night. That part sucks cause I am lazy and sometimes it is cold.

My idea is to run an additional 12V power source through a switch located at the back of the 4Runner. This switch would tie into the "acc on" wire at the deck. With key off, I can flip the switch and deck will power up... in theory. Of course flip off to turn off deck.

Any input as to wether this will work... or a better solution? What might happen if I have the new rear switch to "on" and then the key is turned to acc. at the same time? Where would you put the fuse to stop potential problems?
