Cheap CD player with 4 speakers setup?

My yoter didn't have a radio when I picked it up, so I tossed a stock radio and tape player out of a '90 extended cab pickup utilizing the front speakers from a Geo Tracker. It works, but that is about it.

I noticed that the tape player is seperate from the radio and it just plugs in. Can I purchase a cheap CD player that will sit where the tape player is and just plugs into the stock Yoter radio?

Next question, can I wire two more speakers in parrallel to the first two speakers, or will the additional load kill the radio?

You can put a cheap cd player where the tape deck is, but you'd have to choose which unit you'd want to work - the new cd deck or the yota deck and not both.

You CAN parallel the sides of the speakers (I did) and it may not kill your deck immediately, but it will reduce its life span significantly! (took mine about 4 months to die when it had worked for a good 10 yrs previous)

Once it died, I put an Eclipse 5504 in her place with a nice metra pocket! mmm mmm!
