I just installed an alarm in mine and it does not work. I'm curious about the constant and ignition power sources and where to tap in. I tapped my constant into the line leading to the engine copmpartment fuse block and the ignition source (ign. column in front of the connector) should be right, it was verified with a multimeter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

constant should be from the batt, fused of course.

IGN can be from the radio wiring harness.

 

Tap connectors wouldn't work for me. Had to remove about 1/2 inch of the car wire sheath, pull wires apart (creating like an eye of a needle)in the middle then wrap the end of your alarm wire thru the loop and then around a few times. Lay the alarm wire along side car wire, electrical tape the connection and then zip tie the two together.
Does that make any sense?
I wire tapped the whole job and none took.

It doesn't really make sense. I'll fool around with it some more this weekend and run the wire direct from the battery.

Can I wire the constant off the harness or should that be run direct to the battery? Any idea where the parking lights run out of.
