Does anyone know if it is possible to squeeze a 6x9 where the stock size 4 inch speaker goes under the dash in an 89-95 pickup?? I want my stereo to be a little louder, and I already have 6 inchers in my doors. I was just curious, thanks for the help.

 

IIRC i dont think they'll fit, at least not without a lot of work.

 

I don't seem to have it bookmarked... but there is a company out there that makes replacement kick panels next to your feet and allows you to add another speaker there. Can't remember the size, maybe 5".

 

i have seen it done looks like crap but u can probly do it nicer than what i saw it involved a sawzall it looked like lol

 

6x9 are lame, go with a better quality 6 1/2, sound quality and volume with the 6 1/2's would be much better from the installer point of view. that being said, no way you can fit them into the dash and look nice at all lol. good luck

I am sure they are similiar models available elsewhere, but this gives you something to go on.

 

You are trying to cram a 9" speaker where there is barely space for a 4" speaker? You might be able to do it custom, but it would look terrible. Not something worth trying IMHO

 

Thanks for all the replies, I have seen those kick panels replacements before, but like you said, I would have to have small feet, which I don't so thats out of the question. I knew it would be difficult to do, but I was just wondering if anyone had done it.
