Hey, do you have any pictures of that? I'd be really interested in seeing that install. I just can't lose any cargo space (dog would be squished if I put subs back in his space). If I could fit some under the seats it would be awesome.

Also, does anybody know anything about this sub/amp kit?

Seems like a compact solution. I'm definitely not looking for anything great, just some low end support to music.

This 12 inch sub will go in a sealed box as little as 0.8 ft³, with a minimum mounting depth of 2.9 inches. I'm selling this one new in the box for $125 since I totaled the car it was gonna go in

How about a diamond audio sub? IMHO better SQ than the JL for much less money. I have one and love it to death! I have it is an enclosed box that me and a buddy made that sits over the wheel well in the back.

I'll second that. The IDQ10V.2 requires a .25 to .5 cu ft sealed enclosure and sounds incredible. I've got an IDQ 12 in a .85 cu ft box and love it. It's ultra smooth and puts out more punch than I expected. It's the best sounding sub I've heard.

I had a friend's JL 12W3 in a ported box in my 4Runner for a couple of weeks running off the exact same setup I have now. The JL sounded really good but occasionally hit a sour note. When I installed the IDQ I was suprised that the bass hit just as hard, but sounded smoother and felt more effortless (is that an oxymoron?).

They run $169.95 at CarDomain with free shipping. I've seen them cheaper somewhere but can't remember off the top of my head. I think I paid around $140 for my IDQ12 but it was from a guy who bought it but didn't have an amp and decided not to install it.
